Julisak Inspired Fall Table

I saw these Juliska County Estate Accent Plates in Orange at one of my favorite home stores here in Milwaukee this weekend. They are so beautiful! I have seen the pattern before in blue and black but there is something about the unaccepted orange that I thought was really new and fresh. They inspire me to set a fall table.

Summer Floral Dinner Party Table

I am so excited to share my table with you today! I wanted to mix all sorts of beautiful floral prints to make it bright and cheery. I used my grandmothers china dinner plates, mixed with my wedding china salad plates. I found the floral fabric a couple weeks ago and sewed simple table runners.

I picked up flowers from local grocery stores. I wanted to mix all sorts of colors and textures.

Didn’t it turn out nice? We had such a lovely evening. I love how all the floral layers played off each other. What do you think?

Flower Inspiration: Sunflowers

I love sunflowers. When I was a little girl every year my dad and I would plant them together and watch them grow. They are beautiful and I love mixing them with other bright fun colors. I think they will be perfect for my table this weekend.

Here is a sneak peak at what I am thinking…I picked up the below fabric a week or so ago and this past weekend I sewed them into dual table runners.

This is what I mean by the unexpected way for table runners….this is from my first pop up party a couple years ago see the post here.

see? I like table runners the wide way not the length of the table. Anyway back to flowers…

I think something like these options would bring out all the fun bright colors of the table and be so pretty! Stay tuned next week to see how it all turns out!

Summer Picnic

I love summer picnics and my goal this summer was to take more advantage of them since we live in a condo and don’t have our own outdoor space. I was really excited to get some new picnic gear for my birthday, I posted about my inspiration here. I also pulled out the table coverlet I sewed from our Christmas dinner you can see here. I think it was  a perfect drop cloth for our picnic!

We brought our mini weber grill and grilled steaks and vegtables in tin foil. It was a lovley evening!

Fancy Brunch

Sometimes on a Saturday morning I randomly decide to set a really pretty table (or in this case island counter). I think it is so fun to start the day with a beautiful tablescape over eggs. This is from a couple weeks ago, but the pictures were so fun I had to share. I used my grandma’s china. Underneath is just a peice of black and white fabric. It isn’t even sew together. I used them for an outdoor picnic a long time ago and I found that I liked them so much I randomly use them all the time. It would probably be good if I actually sewed them properly, but they seem to work just fine.

Blue and White Table

This weekend was my graduation from my MBA which was super exciting. But the more exciting thing was dinner after. We decided to do it at my parents house (since when I tried booking all the good restaurants even in January were booked). But it ended up being even better than if we had gone out. I made the table runner. I posted about my inspiration here. I also bought flowers from Whole Foods to create a center floral arrangement. I think it looked just perfect!

I mixed my mothers Ralph Lauren Salad Plates with plain square plates she found a while back at TJMax. I love the way the printed plates off set the table runner I made.

I also just love how the Hydrangea/Rose bouquet looked in the vintage soup tureen I got for my wedding shower. I also use the same vase on my Christmas Table shown here.
