Happy Monday – I am currently day dreaming of a new living room, as my husband and I continue to look for houses. Lately I have been loving lavender + chartreuse. So beautiful and elegant but at the same time fun and spunky!

In the midst of winter I need some color inspiration. If you need a good dose of color go no further than MMR Interiors, one of my favorites for bold color and dramatic spaces.

Although I love love the holidays I am always rather happy to have them pass. We had a great time over the last several weeks, celebrating with family and friends. But I am looking forward to January to calm down a bit.

I am only a novice sewer, but I have been trying to practice a bit over the last year (since I got my own machine). Over break I decided to practice with trims on some spare fabric I had left over from another project. I just low how trim adds so much to a pillow.

I have been playing with fabrics for a new settee I want to get for my dinning table….

We have had some fun date nights using my new West Elm napkins I got for Christmas!

Trying to take advantage of the 30 degree weather (single digits on the way for this week) by taking some snowy walks.

I love the look of console tables with ottomans underneath. It adds layer to the room and also is a practical way to pull out additional seating when you have extra guests over.

I love a good buffet in a home. It can be a great place for storage as well as  a nice focal point for a room. I am working with a friend right now to put one in her living room so I thought I would pull together a bit of visual inspiration to see fun ideas with art over top. I love when the art takes over the whole space above. It creates wonderful visual interest and the layering of lamps and decor in front adds so much dimension.
