Compromising on Decor

My good friend is moving in with her boyfriend. They are already having a hard time combining decor. They just scored a new leather restoration hardware couch, but my friend worries the living room will end up too masciline. Let’s drum up some inspiration on how to soften up that masciline couch!

1. Mix in some fun prints

2. Add in cozy pillows and throws

3. add accents to make the room more homey

4. Mix in art to soften the space

5. layer printed rugs and fun accent furniture

Wedding Wednesday: More Flower Practice

Since I was feeling springy I picked up some flowers to practice wedding arranging again (click here to see where I tried the last time). I liked the way they turned out. Although I would like to try and get some big flowers to cascade over the side of the vase a bit more. But overall I think they aren’t bad for my second try!

I think I am going to try one more time. When I have practiced so far I have used a floral sponge to hold the roses in well. I think I will try one without the sponge to see if I get a more whimsical cascading look in the flowers. I will keep you posted.

Spring in the Air

I can’t wait for spring. It is still pretty cold here but some of the spring inspiration is starting to get me excited. Love all the bright colors and bold prints!

Happy Monday

Sorry I have been on a hiatus. I have been on work trips for 2 weeks in a row. That is too much travel! First I was in NY and then Orlando. While we were in Orlando we hit up Disney. It was fun to be out of the office, but I am very happy to be home! check out some of my instagraming from my travels!
