Wedding Wednesday: Flowers Inspiration for a friend
I am in my friends wedding this coming May and when she asked me to do my flowers I was ecstatic! I had so much fun doing my own I can’t wait for another opportunity!
I thought I would drum up some inspiration for her. Her main flower will be succulents but we can’t decide to go more nuetral pallet (whites and greens) or if we should put some color in with pinks and soft tones.

Ina Garten’s: Celery Root Potato Puree and Scallops
This weekend I did lots of good cooking. I got Ina Garten’s “Foolproof” cookbook for one of my wedding showers and have to say I love it! This was the second time making this recipe, and highly recommend. The celery root adds such a nice flavor to standard mashed potatoes. A great fall/winter dish!
Design Love: Harbor House Milwaukee
Last night I had the opportunity to eat at one of my favorite restaurants in MKE — Harbor House. It is right on Lake Michigan and the interior design is heaven!
The interiors is perfect for the location. Overlooking Lake Michigan and the Milwaukee Skyline. I would love to decorate a summer cottage like this…Get the Look!

Sewing Pillows!
This weekend I was so excited to have my mom in town and do some sewing with her. I have made a couple things before but by no means am an expert at sewing. So we spent a lovely Saturday making pillows for my bed. I picked out the floral fabric a while back and ended up picking the furbish dalmatian print for the second pillow. I made a trim for the floral pillow out of a pink leopard print fabric I got here in town and used turq pom poms for the dalmatian.
I got a new duvet at pbteen. Couldn’t believe I found such a nice simple duvet at pbteen of all places but I think it works! I wanted something that wouldn’t distract from the fun pillow prints! Next on the list is a roll pillow in pink leopard. I propped it up here just to get an idea of what it would look like all together…think I’m going to love it!
