ORC: There’s No Place Like Home Bathroom 1

ok! week two! If you haven’t seen my week one, you can catch up here. So in the last week I feel we got a lot accomplished. Plumbing done – check! Electrical done – check! Bathroom completely gutted down to studs – check! All final fixtures and supplies ordered check!

Like I mentioned before I decided to go with brushed gold fixtures. So here are the pieces I picked out from the Purist Kohler Collection.

Kohler Purist Faucet in Brushed Gold

Kohler Purist Showerhead in Brushed Gold

Kohler Purist Lever Handle Brushed Gold

I think they are super pretty – can’t wait to get them!

So in the next week the plan is to fully prep for the tile. One potential problem of completing the challenge as I see it could be – when I first started not everything was already ordered. And based on lead times it might end up putting a damper on our pace. But we will do what we can see and see how far we get. The tile won’t be here until the 14-20 of April so that leaves not many weeks to get the tile installed, which we will be doing, install the vanity, get the counter top people here and the glass people. Yikes! So we will see. The biggest challenge I think will be the glass people. I have an estimate with a couple companies, but I am learning that they can’t give a final estimate with proper measurements until the tile is fully installed and then it is a 2 week lead time to get the glass installed. So that could end up being a tight installation with our short time frame. So we will see!

Can’t get too worked up worrying about that – one step at a time! So as far as the next week we are going to do everything we can just to prep for the tile to ensure the minute the tile gets here my husband and I can get going!

  1. So tough whe we have to wait on other people or items, especially when on a time constraint, but as you mentioned, you really can’t stress too much as it’s out of your hands. Excited to see how this continues!

  2. Lianna, just try to do a little each day, and you’ll get to complete it in the allotted time frame. BTW, I saw your mirror at Home Goods today. It caught my eye because I remember seeing it in your design plan :-).
