Tea Cups fit for a Queen

If you know me at all you would know I love dishes, especially tea cups. I have a special place in my heart for them. They remind me of fighting with my sisters on who could bring my grandmother a cup on a Saturday morning when she would visit for the weekend. But I must admit I do have a problem. I have way too many of them. But at least I use them all!

Outdoor Dinner Party

Happy Tuesday. The weekend got away from me. It was busy but very nice and relaxing. I went up to visit my sister and her husband this weekend, and it took it as one last chance to celebrate summer. So we decided to have an outdoor colorful dinner party. We wanted to string up lights in her trees, but we realized we didn’t have enough so we created a make shift chandelier with the lights we did have, some branches, and a tomato cage from her garden. It created a perfect ambiance for our last summer dinner.

Looks like it could have been one of our last hot weekends, this weekend it is suppose to be only 65 degrees!

Navy + Blue Dinnerware

If I ever had a vacation home….I couldn’t help but fill the cupboards with all varieties of blue and white dishes. I love mixing different patterns together. With all the variety you can set a different table any day you want!

Sunday Brunch

I love dressing up a table for any occasion. So this weekend I decided to have my friend Mary over so we could catch up.

I busted out my favorite dishes and did some print mixing.

As for food I tried this new recipe from Martha Stewart for the appetizer, Roasted Tomato and Ricotta Crostini. I made individual egg bakes from my own making. The little bite size desserts I just picked up from whole foods, but I think next time i am going to try and make them. I don’t think they would be too hard!
