Continued Obsession: Chiavari Chairs

So we all know I love chiavari dinning chairs for parties….but lately I have been thinking a lot about using them in my house! I think they would be perfect at a breakfast nook table or even a dinning table. It would make every day feel like a party!

what do you think? would you ever do it?

Loving: Navy and White Ginger Jars

My mom’s house is done beautifully in navy, white and spots of yellow. She has a lot of ginger jars scattered around the house. This weekend I rearranged some of them and stacked them all together. I like the way they look when clustered.

I also love when people stack them on dinning tables. It makes a bold statement. Especially if it is a more formal room that isn’t used as much. It creates beautiful drama! I think she should do this on her formal table.

Loving: Stone Mantels

I love my downtown condo.

But one day I fear I will have to move out into a house and there are only a couple things that will convince me to move. Stone Mantel fireplaces, china cabinets, and craft rooms.

Loving these beautiful stone mantel fireplaces….heaven!

Compromising on Decor

My good friend is moving in with her boyfriend. They are already having a hard time combining decor. They just scored a new leather restoration hardware couch, but my friend worries the living room will end up too masciline. Let’s drum up some inspiration on how to soften up that masciline couch!

1

1. Mix in some fun prints

2

2. Add in cozy pillows and throws

3

3. add accents to make the room more homey

4

4. Mix in art to soften the space

5

5. layer printed rugs and fun accent furniture

Bright Children’s Rooms

A friend of mine is just moved into a new house and needs to decorate a nursery and a room for her 1 year old. For fun I thought I would pull some inspiration.

My favorite kids bedrooms and colorful and fun. The first one is my fav! It has elements that can grow with the child like mature wallpaper but then the bright accents help bring it down to the child’s level. Later in life just updating a couple of those pieces will change the whole aesthetic of the room.
