I think I have talked before about how much I love canopy beds but I was just perusing them again. When Chris and I get a house I am for sure putting a canopy bed in my guest room. They are just so beautiful. I like fabric draping over them for drama but I love them without it too!

I was very excited about my dessert for my dinner party this weekend. First I made this Southern Living Raspberry Buttermilk Sorbet! This recipe was super easy.
It was my first time using my new ice cream attachement from my shower. I loved it! So fun.
Next I made this Martha Steward Lemon Pound Cake. Heaven! I also made the lemon glaze. I saved some of the glaze and drizzled some over the sorbet and the cake. Delish!
Both were a huge hit! I would for sure make these again!
I am very excited that we finally got our invitations out and we are already getting response cards back. Chris and I designed our invites ourselves, and I am super happy with the way they turned out.
The front has beautiful peonies (my favorite flower) and a gingham back. We also branded all the pieces with the four leaf clover since Chris and I met on St. Patrick’s day!

This weekend we had my parents and Chris’s parent over for dinner. We had such a nice time. First thing to prep was to set the table!
I went with my grandma’s china, mikasa black and white chevron and some of my new glasses from my shower.

Hope to find some time to work on my chairs this weekend. I am going to paint them a turq and upholster them with some pink/orange ikat fabric and maybe some solid coral for the cushion. Fingers crossed I find time!
