Weekend Recap

Wish it wasn’t Monday already! But  I had a productive weekend. Friday night I had a Christmas party that everyone brought an appetizer for. I made traditional English Sausage rolls. My mother and grandmother have been making these since I was a little girl. They were a hit. You can make them by making homemade pastry (I always use butter because it makes such a flavorful crust) then you just roll the sausage pieces into a little roll. Here is a similar recipe to what we do for reference (they use puff pastry instead of actual pastry – either will work!). Saturday I had my sister over for brunch – french toast made with fresh bakery cinnamon raisin bread. Finally I wanted to share a new nail polish I got at Sephora. It is a bronze glitter top coat “Don’t be Eggnog-ious.” I first painted my nails with a light pink and then covered it with the bronze – so cute! Love the way it turned out.

Christmas Prep Day!

So excited to have a day off of work today to do all the fun Christmas things that I have on my list. Got up early enjoyed a cup of tea and got started right away on wrapping. The tree is looking much better with all the goodies piled under! Next on the list make my Christmas cards, plant some paper whites, and make an appetizer for a Christmas party tonight. I will share pics tomorrow!
